Biography

Maiza is an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka, having been called to the Bar in 2012, and a former visiting lecturer at Sri Lanka Law College. She holds two postgraduate diplomas: one in Conveyancing and Real Property Rights from the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies of the Incorporated Council of Legal Education in Sri Lanka, and another in Human Rights and Democratization from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. She also has an MBA in Finance from Cardiff Metropolitan University in the UK. With over a decade of experience as a Senior Legal Counsel, Maiza is one of the Directors at TM Associates, a leading law firm in Sri Lanka.

At the Markfield Institute, Maiza manages administrative operations and is the primary contact for student queries.
