Dr. Celene Ibrahim is the author of Women and Gender in the Qur'an (Oxford University Press, 2020) and Islam and Monotheism (Cambridge University Press, 2022). She is currently a Muslim Counsellor at Harvard Divinity School and a faculty member in the Department of Religious Studies and Philosophy at Groton School where she teaches global religious history and applied ethics. Ibrahim holds a Ph.D. in Arabic and Islamic Civilizations and a master's degree in Women's and Gender Studies and Near Eastern and Judaic Studies from Brandeis University, a Masters of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School, and a bachelor's degree from Princeton University. She is a trusted voice on issues of religion and civic engagement, spiritual care and chaplaincy, women's studies, and Islamic intellectual history.
